Statement of Faith
· We believe the Bible is the infallible, inspired, authoritative Word of God revealing the love of God to the World. (1Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Timothy 3:15-17, John 3:16)
· We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6)
· We believe Jesus became “God in the flesh.” He was born through the miracle of a virgin birth, lived a sinless life, was crucified and died a physical death as atonement for our sins, and was physically resurrected from the grave. (Matthew 1:18-25, 1 Corinthians 15:3-8)
· We believe God created man in His own image, but man is now separated from God because of sin. (Romans 5:12-21)
· We believe that belief and trust in Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross is the only way to be reconciled with God. Salvation cannot be earned, it is offered through Jesus based on grace, not works. Faith requires repentance and obedience to God’s Word. (Acts 4:8-12)
· We believe God instituted marriage to be a monogamous relationship between male and female as the foundation of the family and basic structure of human society. We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, and that God created man and woman as unique biological persons. (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:5-6, Mark 10:6-9, 1 Corinthians 6:9)
