Ken and I have been married for 20 years and life together has been an adventure! I am a people person on steroids and he is an introvert. I like to go out, he likes to stay home. He’s action, I'm drama. He’s up early and I like to sleep in. You get the point.
Needless to say, life together has presented its challenges.
In 2012, we moved to California for a ministry position. Things didn’t quite turn out the way we expected and 6 months later we were on our knees praying for God to show us the way to what was next. As we know, He is able to do more than we can ask, think or imagine and He led us to a church in Las Vegas, Nevada. At that point we had been trying for 5 years to get pregnant so we began a journey with IVF. Once again, God worked a miracle in our life and blessed us with our son, Jackson, who is now 10 years old. Life derails and disorders, and our relationship was not as healthy as it could be. Cross country moves, job loss, infertility, financial struggles, becoming new parents, and personality differences.
Again, you get the point.
In 2014, God brought an amazing couple into our life to mentor, teach and equip Ken and I to have a closer, healthier relationship. The teaching we received has transformed our marriage and we have been implementing the tangible tools not only in our own marriage but also in our other relationships in life. Ken shares it with his worship teams and volunteers and I meet one on one with many women to share.
After 5 years serving the local church out west, God brought us back home to Indiana where all of our family resides. After 7 years of working with our mentors, and much prayer and encouragement to start our own ministry equipping others with this teaching, God has opened the door and we answered the call to start this work together.
When we married, I had ‘ET’ engraved inside Ken’s wedding band, as it was something we said to one another often. For many years we have been together, but working and pursuing separate goals. Finally, God has revealed this plan for a shared ministry to help show others the way to have closer, healthier relationships. We believe the Word of God that says, “We are blessed so that we may be a blessing.” We aren’t meant to do this life alone. We are created for relationships with others.
Everything Together is a shared-ministry that Ken and I hope you will partner with through prayer and/or financial giving to help further the gospel and God’s amazing grace as we share it with singles, couples, small groups and churches. All in a heart and effort to help build healthier relationships which will build healthier communities.
Blessings,
Christina
